Description
Successful graduates will be fully prepared and qualified for positions as network administrators, systems and other network personnel. Many of the skills and competencies that will be acquired in the program can be applied to the CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA, Fiber Optic, and other certifications. Certification exams are optional and not included in cost estimates.
Note: CIAT does not provide general education courses at this time. Students must obtain general education courses from an accredited institution such as a community college.
Program Objective
Upon completion of the Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems – Networking Concentration degree program, the graduate will be able to:
- Develop requisite skills in Information Technology
- Describe fundamentals and theory of computer networking systems and how they are applied in various business situations
- Provide network security for day-to-day business operations
- Manage a network and networking environment using Microsoft Windows Servers
- Describe network architecture including wireless, wired and fiber optic cabling
- Design and implement Microsoft networks
General Education in this program, the graduate will be able to develop the following:
